Marella Cruises launches its 2025 winter itineraries with new ports of call in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.
Marella Cruises has added two new ports of call for the Marella Discovery for winter 2025: Catalina Island, Dominican Republic, and Ponce, Puerto Rico, beginning December 16, 2025. This will be the first time Marella Cruises has docked at these ports.
The new ports of call for the Marella Discovery will be on the 'Tropical Islands' itinerary, which will depart from La Romana, Dominican Republic, visiting San Jean, Puerto Rico, Charlotte Amalie, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Fredriksted, U.S. Virgin Islands, before docking in Ponce, Puerto Rico and Catalina Island, and returning to La Romana.
In addition, there will be departures from January 8, 2026 on the 'Exotic Islands' itinerary of the Marella Discovery 2, visiting Barbados, St. Lucia, Aruba, Curaçao and Grenada.
There will be new overnight options on board in Willemstad, Curaçao, and cruise and stay options at the Hilton Barbados Resort in Needhams Point and the Radisson Aquatica in Hastings, Barbados. On the "Island Explorer" itinerary, departing November 28, 2025, and visiting Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Madeira, and La Palma aboard the Marella Voyager and the adults-only Marella Explorer 2, guests will be able to choose between sailing from Tenerife or Gran Canaria and spending the night in the port of Funchal, Madeira.
Guests can ring in 2026 in style with our New Year's sailings on the Marella Voyager. The New Year's sailing will include the spectacular Madeira fireworks on the 'A New Year's Dream' itinerary, which visits Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Madeira, and Gran Canaria, with a cruise and hotel package available for Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
