The renowned Cuban ballet company Acosta Danza will be aboard Cunard from May 26 to July 7, 2025, for a special six-week run.
The company, founded by world-renowned dancer Carlos Acosta, will offer two exclusive shows that will be announced later.
In addition to the performances, they will host workshops and panel discussions in the ship's Royal Court Theatre. Passengers will also be able to see Yuli: The Carlos Acosta Story, a biographical film directed by the multi-award-winning director Iciar Bollain, in the Royal Court Theatre or on their cabin TV.
Acosta Danza was formed to nurture and develop the emerging young creative talents in dance from Cuba. The company's ethos is to train dancers who can effortlessly blend classical and contemporary genres, drawing on Cuba's rich musical and dance influences, to create a repertoire that is both exciting and stimulating, and that transcends conventional boundaries.
Summer cruises will be a great adventure for both sun lovers and theatergoers, with stops in enchanting destinations such as Kefalonia in Greece, Dubrovnik in Croatia and Barcelona in Spain.
Cunard has an incredible track record of collaborating with some of the biggest names in theatrical entertainment, with renowned West End and Broadway producer David Pugh bringing award-winning shows to the luxury cruise line's newest ship, the Queen Anne.
