The Port of Huelva received the ship La Belle de Cadix on the 8th, which will call several times throughout this month at the Levante Dock
The cruise ship La Belle de Cadix, belonging to the CroisiEurope , arrived at the South Levante Dock of the Port of Huelva, with 112 passengers on board, mainly of French, English and Danish nationality, and with 37 crew members.
The cruise ship arrives in Huelva from the Port of Seville and after its visit to the capital of Huelva, it is scheduled to depart for the border town of Ayamonte, according to the forecasts of the shipping agent Lamaignere Shipping.
This ship, which has made a stop in the Port of Huelva during the months of May and June, combines river-sea itineraries and visits different places in Andalusia and the Portuguese Algarve.
During this month, La Belle de Cadix is scheduled to arrive at the Port of Huelva every Monday, where tourists will have the opportunity to visit the city, whose center is located very close to the Levante Dock, or to take pre-arranged excursions to the Monastery of La Rábida, the Wharf of the Caravels and Columbian sites.
The President of the Port of Huelva, Alberto Santana, thanked the shipping company and its agent for the continuous calls that the Belle de Cadix has been making at the Port of Huelva for the past five years. “The Port of Huelva is grateful for the loyalty of this shipping company, which has chosen to include the Port of Huelva in its itineraries through various Andalusian ports.” Santana also announced that a delegation from the Port of Huelva and the HuelvaPort Association will be in Málaga this week, on September 11th and 12th, for Seatrade Cruise Med, the leading event for the cruise industry in the Mediterranean. In this regard, Alberto emphasized that “we will take advantage of our presence at this event to create synergies with tour operators, cruise lines, and other Andalusian ports, to further position ourselves in the luxury segment and attract new cruise ship calls for the coming years.”.
The reception of the cruise ships is planned within the framework of Huelva Cruise Network, a working group led by the Port of Huelva and the Association for the Commercial Promotion of the Port of Huelva (HuelvaPort), which also includes the Huelva Chamber of Commerce, the Huelva Federation of Entrepreneurs (FOE), the Huelva City Council, the Huelva Destination Agency dependent on the Provincial Council of Huelva, the Andalusian Regional Government and tourism companies, among other entities.
The Port of Huelva has opted for a cruise strategy focused on the "luxury" segment to attract small ships or megayachts with high-spending passengers who seek to live unique experiences.
