The first group of students begins the Postgraduate Diploma in Cruise Company Management in collaboration between Les Roches and Silversea
The innovative course is offered thanks to the collaboration between Les Roches, one of the leading educational institutions in hospitality and leisure management, and Silversea, the luxury experiential and expedition cruise travel brand.
A welcome event was held a few days ago at the Les Roches campus in Marbella, attended by representatives from Silversea and Les Roches to welcome the new students. Among those present were Carlos Díez de la Lastra Buiges, CEO of Les Roches Global, and Heidi Wenger, Senior Director of Fleet and Crew Human Resources at Silversea, who offered words of support and encouragement to the students.
This pioneering program, the first of its kind, reflects both institutions' commitment to academic and professional excellence. Developed within the framework of the Royal Caribbean Group's SEA the Future initiative, the diploma offers comprehensive training that equips students to manage various areas onboard cruise ships, as well as key aspects such as marketing, revenue management, and other commercial functions within the industry.
The Postgraduate Diploma in Cruise Line Management offers highly focused learning on practical and managerial aspects—a hallmark of Les Roches—along with a guided immersion experience at Silversea. Upon completion of the course, graduates will be well-positioned to secure employment with Silversea. The global recognition of Les Roches and Silversea is a testament to their commitment to providing an educational experience of the highest quality.
During the first semester, students will follow a curriculum focused on cruise operations, developing luxury guest experiences, learning about onboard accommodation and luxury food and beverage management, sales and revenue, and maritime law. At the end of this first part of the program, students will have the option to gain in-depth, hands-on experience in the industry with an immersion period at Silversea.
