Eight Princess Cruises ships will sail to Alaska in 2026

Princess Cruises presents its biggest season yet for 2026, highlighted by the debut of its newest ship in the fleet, the Star Princess.

Eight Princess Cruises ships will sail to Alaska in 2026The 2026 Alaska program features eight ships, 180 sailings, and 19 destinations, providing travelers with an unparalleled selection of Alaskan adventures by sea and land. For the first time, guests will have the opportunity to explore Alaska aboard a Sphere-Class ship when the Star Princess sails its inaugural summer season through the Last Frontier, offering unparalleled views of glaciers and wildlife. The Star Princess, the second Sphere-Class ship after the Sun Princess, will set sail in fall 2025, promising a superior cruise experience.

This ship boasts innovative architectural features such as The Dome, the industry's first geodesic structure, and The Sphere, a glass plaza in the center of the ship offering breathtaking views while sailing. Furthermore, like its sister ship, the Sun Princess, it promises to delight the palate with a world-class culinary experience.

“ 2026 will reinforce Princess’s leadership as the premier vacation cruise line in Alaska. The deployment of the magnificent Star Princess to Alaska for the first time will offer guests unparalleled views, luxurious accommodations, and the finest food, beverages, and entertainment ever seen in this destination,” said John Padgett, president of Princess Cruises.

Alaska's options in 2026 include:

• Glacier Journey: Discovery Princess, Grand Princess, Coral Princess, and Island Princess
will offer eight-day voyages to experience breathtaking views of two Alaskan glaciers, and Princess has more visits to Glacier Bay National Park than any other cruise line.
These itineraries can be combined for a 15-day Grand Adventure on the Glacier Journey.
• Inside Passage: Guests can enjoy cruises ranging from seven to 21 days and up to four glacier-viewing experiences when they sail the Inside Passage, visiting Alaska’s most-rated destinations and lesser-known gems from convenient homeports, including weekend departures from Seattle (Royal Princess and Star Princess), San Francisco (Ruby Princess), Vancouver, BC, and Los Angeles (Emerald Princess).
• Longer Voyages: Guests who want to spend more time with Princess in Alaska this season can choose a 21-day voyage on the Ruby Princess sailing round-trip from San Francisco, and a 17-day cruise on the Emerald Princess sailing round-trip from Los Angeles.

Adventures on land

Princess offers its passengers the opportunity to enhance their cruise experience with exciting and authentic shore excursions in its ports of call. These include "Cook My Catch," where you fish and have your catch cooked on board for dinner, helicopter flights, whale watching, and much more.

Onboard activities with the "North to Alaska with Princess" program include cultural and educational activities, including naturalist talks, a planetary experience of
the Northern Lights, and a delicious menu of fresh Alaskan seafood.
