A-ROSA River Cruises has created its own entertainment department at its headquarters in Rostock, Germany. The team will be responsible for developing all onboard entertainment.
The new department will manage both daytime and nighttime entertainment programs, themed cruises, and children's activities.
A-ROSA is the first river cruise company to create its own entertainment department, instead of relying on third parties. This allows the operator to directly control the quality of onboard entertainment, identify new trends, and continue successful concepts.
A-ROSA ships are built with entertainment in mind, and many of them feature stages for artists to perform, DJ booths, and special lighting options, which is not the norm in the industry.
Expanding the range of guest artists is one of the main goals of the line in the future and, to create this network, Fadi Gaziri as A-ROSA's entertainment director.
Fadi, a Briton based in Hamburg, has secured numerous contracts with artists thanks to his work at AIDA and TUI Cruises and his work as an expert in audio brands.
Fadi's extensive experience and network of contacts in the sector allow him to attract high-quality artists on board, many of whom have never participated in a river cruise before.
In addition to pop, jazz, folk and rock singers, the roster of artists will now include names from musical theater, such as international performers from shows like The Phantom of the Opera, Cats and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Also joining the lineup are musicians such as trumpeter Francoise Berody, violinist Tamas Seres and the cello duo Grandcelli Duo, as well as new tribute artists to Elvis, Elton John or Billy Joel.
Furthermore, as part of its commitment to encouraging new generations, A-ROSA continues to support young artists and invites up-and-coming singer-songwriters on board to perform their songs in the intimate setting of the A-ROSA Lounge.
The new entertainment department will be responsible for more than just musical performances on board. Passengers can expect to enjoy cabaret, magicians, caricaturists, and even sand painting shows by a variety of artists, some already popular with A-ROSA guests and others new to the program.
The extensive program of themed cruises is also included in this department, with all kinds of activities, from meditation and mindfulness to photography, dance, nutrition, and yoga.
Most A-ROSA ships have an onboard Entertainment Host who is responsible for the smooth running of the daily program, and many have their own talents that can be enjoyed during the cruise.
