MSC Cruises will offer a new program called “Open Booking” so that guests on board can book future holidays at sea without committing to a ship, itinerary or departure date.
The new initiative aims to complement MSC Cruises' " Future Cruise Program ", introduced in the summer of 2023
“Open Booking” means that passengers simply pay a reduced deposit of 100 euros per person on board their cruise, which allows them up to 12 months to choose their next holiday at sea with the company.
Passengers will receive up to €200 in onboard credit per cabin if they select their ship and departure date within 60 days of booking. They can also book within one year and still enjoy up to €100 in onboard credit.
MSC Cruises' Managing Director in Spain, Fernando Pacheco , added: “ We want to offer our passengers more flexibility when choosing their next ship and departure date. In this regard, the 'Open Booking' program gives passengers up to a year to make that decision while earning future credits for their next holiday at sea with us .”
Travel agencies that made the original cruise booking will also benefit from the “Open Booking” program and will receive the full commission once the ship and departure date have been selected.

The original agents receive a full commission on any new booking made on board, with new aspects of the program including a reduced onboard deposit per person for your next cruise, greater flexibility for a booking to be modified to suit the client's needs before final payment, and an extended "best price guaranteed" period.
Other benefits include onboard credit for the customer's next cruise, double points for the MSC Voyagers Club, the possibility of combining market offers with the rewards program, and the option to choose from the best selection of cabins and suites.
Customers on board MSC Cruises ships have access to itinerary information and the best offers through their dedicated Future Cruise teams, and each new booking opened for the future will generate an email confirmation to their travel agent.
