Chef Alban Gjoka, Vice President of Food and Beverage at Explora Journeys, has joined the prestigious Culinary Academy of France.
Alban Gjoka received the award at the French Consulate in New York on February 2, 2024, presented by Sébastien Baud, Delegate President of the French Culinary Academy.
Sébastien Baud stated that, “Alban’s dedication and contribution to the culinary arts have made him worthy of a place among the members of the Culinary Academy of France.”

Alban Gjoka joined Explora Journeys in early 2022 as Senior Head of Culinary Operations from the Apollo Group, where he worked for 15 years, most recently as Senior Executive Chef and Culinary Director of a luxury cruise line, where he oversaw large-scale international food and beverage operations.
Previously, Alban Gjoka worked for five years at another leading luxury cruise company in various food and beverage roles, most recently as Culinary Director, where he was involved in leading the food and beverage strategy.
