Carnival Vista receives Carnival Cruise Line's new livery

Following a routine dry dock in Europe, the Carnival Vista has received Carnival Cruise Line's new livery, becoming the 24th ship in the fleet to do so.

The new helmet design, which was first introduced in 2021, features a navy blue helmet highlighted by red and white accents.

According to Carnival, the new look was created as a tribute to maritime tradition, with patriotic tones that are also present in the company's logo and branding.

The livery is inspired by officers' uniforms, according to the US shipping company, and was introduced as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations.

After debuting on the new Mardi Gras, the livery is being gradually incorporated into Carnival's fleet of 27 ships as they undergo dry docking.

Following its recent addition to the fleet, the latter will receive the new colors in the coming weeks, as it prepares to debut on the west coast in April.

As of February 2024, a total of 24 ships have already received the new colors, including the new Carnival Jubilee, which entered service at the end of 2023.

The exceptions are the Carnival Panorama, the Carnival Splendor, and the Carnival Firenze. Like its sister ship, the Carnival Venezia, the 2021-built vessel, which will join the Carnival Fun Italian Style concept, will be adorned with a variation of the original design.

As a nod to Costa Cruises' roots, the red stripe on the hull has been painted yellow, in keeping with its yellow funnel.

The Carnival Panorama and Carnival Splendor are expected to receive the new hull design before the end of 2024.

The Splendor, which currently sails year-round in Australia, will undergo dry docking in August. Having entered service in 2019, the Panorama will pause its year-round West Coast program to visit a shipyard in September.
