The Carnival Vista, one of Carnival Cruise Line's flagship ships, has completed its 30-day stay at the Navantia shipyard in Cadiz.
During this time, the ship has undergone a complete renovation that includes improvements to both its exterior appearance and its internal facilities.
One of the main improvements is the ship's new exterior livery, which now features red, white, and blue colors on the hull. In addition, changes have been made to the public facilities and entertainment areas on board.
Among the most notable additions is the Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge , a space that pays tribute to veterans and active-duty military personnel, reflecting Carnival Cruise Line's commitment to those who have served in the armed forces. A new jewelry store called Effy has also been introduced .
In addition to these additions, some areas of the ship have been relocated to improve the layout and access to the facilities. For example, the O2 Clubfor teenagers has been moved to a new location, as has the IMAX cinema, whose entrance is now in a different position on deck 7.
The guest cabins have also been renovated, with the addition of automatic night lights in the bathrooms, among other things.
The Carnival Vista is still crossing the Atlantic without passengers and is many miles from the port of Cape Canaveral, where it is expected to arrive next Friday, February 16. However, several tourist groups are awaiting the Carnival Vista's arrival at its home port so they can begin their next trip.
So, if all goes well, the Carnival Vista will soon begin a special 3-night Bahamas itinerary with a visit to Nassau and two days at sea to enjoy all the ship's new features.
After that brief cruise, Carnival Vista will remain in Port Canaveral year-round, offering a combination of 6- and 8-night cruises through the Eastern and Southern Caribbean.
Eastern Caribbean cruises will visit Half Moon Cay or Princess Cays (depending on the departure date), Grand Turk, San Juan, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and Amber Cove, depending on the departure date and cruise duration. Southern Caribbean cruises will visit Aruba, Curaçao, Bonaire, and Grand Turk, also depending on the departure date.
In July 2025, Carnival Vista will be one of the first ships to visit Carnival Cruise Line's new private destination on Grand Bahama Island, Celebration Key, which is part of the Eastern and Southern Caribbean itineraries.
