The MSC Group's Cruise Division is strengthening its global organization with the creation of new international macro-areas, and therefore the Spanish market will become part of the newly created structure for Southern Europe under the leadership of Vice President Leonardo Massa.

This new structure is created to strengthen the Mediterranean countries and continue the Spanish market strategy for the growth of the cruise industry in Spain: continuing with the opening of new embarkation ports in Spain and bringing the newest ships in the fleet to the country.
“This new organization confirms the importance of Spain in the growth strategies of MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys. I have a long friendship with Leonardo and I know he is a great professional with extensive experience at MSC Cruises and a deep understanding of the Spanish market and travel agencies. I am confident that we will achieve great things together,” stated Fernando Pacheco, Managing Director of MSC Cruises in Spain.
“I want to thank MSC for choosing me for this new and prestigious position. I am convinced that with this new organizational model, it will be possible to maximize integration and synergy between the different countries, replicating the best practices of each market to benefit global results. I look forward to collaborating with Fernando and exploring how this new structure will allow for greater synergies based on our collective experience,” commented Leonardo Massa.
The general managers of Spain, Fernando Pacheco; France, Patrick Pourbaix; and Portugal, Eduardo Cabrita, will report to Leonardo Massa, who will also continue to serve as general manager of the Italian market.
