The creation of the State of Alaska is celebrating its 65th anniversary, and Princess Cruises is marking it just as the line prepares for its 55th anniversary of sailing to Alaska.

“The creation of the State of Alaska marked a historic moment in the history of the United States, opening the doors to a world of opportunities and possibilities, and we salute this very important anniversary,” said Terry Thornton, Chief Commercial Officer of Princess.

“Princess Cruises has been a proud partner in Alaska's growth and prosperity, providing unforgettable experiences, contributing to its economy, and fostering a deep appreciation for its unique heritage. We look back with pride on the incredible memories we've shared with millions of guests who have explored its pristine wilderness, breathtaking landscapes, and vibrant communities with us.”

Princess Cruises will celebrate its anniversary in 2024 with its biggest season to date, featuring 158 sailings on 14 unique itineraries with 17 destinations across seven ships.

New for 2024 are seven-day Inside Passage itineraries, many of which include Glacier Bay National Park, with round-trip departures from Vancouver aboard the Ruby Princess.

The cruises include four ports of call, including Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan, plus visits to Endicott Arm and scenic cruises on the Dawes Glacier.

In addition, Princess offers more than 20 cruises with two new ships launching in 2024:

  • A 15-night tour of the National Parks that visits five of them: Glacier Bay, Denali, Wrangell-St. Elias, Kenai Fjords National Parks and the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park in Skagway.
  • A nine-day tour of Katmai National Park that includes two nights in Anchorage, where guests can embark on a bear-watching experience at Katmai National Park's Brooks Falls.
