The Pier 4 East terminal was decorated for the occasion, and a local band provided the music. After Craighead broke the champagne, the flyboarders emerged from behind the Sakara.

The stunning luxury of the Emerald Sakara, complemented by Emerald Cruises’ commitment to environmentally responsible tourism, exemplifies CLIA’s advocacy for sustainable tourism and the preservation of cruise destinations around the world for future generations,” said godmother Kelly Craighead.

We are a unique entity in the cruise industry when it comes to our luxury ships, both river and ocean-going,” says Moroney. “We are deeply involved in every aspect of the construction process: we conceive the concept, design, oversee the engineering, build the ships, including the interior design, and directly hire all crew members.”

“Craighead’s appointment as godmother follows the same thought process, as she embodies a similar attitude and history, and her leadership and guidance with CLIA during the last few challenging years for the industry is inspiring ,” Moroney continued .

Also participating were Brad Dean, CEO of Discover Puerto Rico; Crystal J. Bell, Director of Aviation and Cruises at the Puerto Rico Tourism Company; and Christian Trinidad De Jesús, Executive Deputy Director of the Puerto Rico Port Authority.
