Emerald Cruises' second luxury yacht, Emerald Sakara, completed its inaugural cruise from Piraeus to Civitavecchia (Rome) last weekend.

Under the command of Captain Jonathan Edwards, who was the captain of its sister ship Emerald Azzurra when it was launched in 2022, the Emerald Sakara is currently sailing this summer season in Italy, Greece and the Adriatic.
Almost identical to its sibling, the Emerald Sakara's interiors include furniture brand upgrades, lighting by designer Tom Dixon, as well as a collaboration between Freifrau and Missoni.
“The launch of a new luxury yacht is always exciting, as the enormous amount of work done by our talented team of designers and builders comes to life,” commented Glen Moroney, president and founder of Scenic Group.
“Being able to add the Emerald Sakara almost a year after the launch of the Emerald Azzurra speaks volumes about the positive reception our yacht cruise program has received from customers and our partner agents,” he added.
At the end of the summer program in the Mediterranean, the Emerald Sakara will cross the Atlantic, where both the Emerald Sakara and the Emerald Azzurra will winter in the Caribbean and Central America.
The Emerald Sakara will be christened in San Juan, Puerto Rico on December 2, with godmother Kelly Craighead, president/CEO of Cruise Lines International Association, doing the honors.
