MSC Cruises has restructured the Eastern Mediterranean itineraries of MSC Sinfonia and MSC Musica in light of the geopolitical situation in Israel.
On MSC Sinfonia's next eight 11-night voyages, Haifa (Israel) will be replaced by Istanbul (Turkey), meaning the stop in Rhodes will be replaced by Piraeus (Greece), while Izmir (Turkey) will be replaced by Limassol (Cyprus).
Starting October 21, MSC Sinfonia will include the Italian ports of Genoa, Civitavecchia, and Messina, followed by Piraeus, Izmir, Istanbul, and Heraklion, Crete, before returning to Genoa. Meanwhile, MSC Musica from Piraeus, Greece, will replace Haifa with Rhodes on October 18 and 25, and Marmaris, Turkey, on November 1.
In total, 11 future sailings for MSC Musica and MSC Sinfonia have been modified between October 15, 2023, and January 6, 2024. After these changes, the ships will resume their scheduled itineraries from Buenos Aires, Argentina (in the case of MSC Musica) and Barcelona, Alicante, and Málaga (in the case of MSC Sinfonia). Thus, from January 2024 onward, the Sinfonia's route, with departures from Alicante, Málaga, or Barcelona, will maintain its usual itinerary through the Western Mediterranean: Genoa (Italy), Marseille (France), Ceuta (Spain), Tangier, and Casablanca (Morocco).

The company has begun notifying all passengers and travel agents affected by the changes. MSC Cruises will also update its website to reflect the confirmed details of the new itineraries, providing maximum clarity for current passengers and anyone wishing to book their future Eastern Mediterranean winter holidays.
