The Silver Nova 's art collection features approximately 1,800 works by 59 artists from 25 countries. It is the largest art collection on any ship in Silversea's history. The collection brings together international artworks, most of which were commissioned for specific locations on board the Silver Nova to complement the ship's many architectural innovations.

ICArt, an international art consultancy that has specialized in creating unique art experiences for more than three decades, curated the Silver Nova, selecting more than 1,250 framed artworks, 9 installations, 8 sculptures and more, including intriguing and historically significant antiques, Murano glass vases and art books.
“Art adds dimension, context, and meaning to the Silver Nova experience,” states Mariangela Capuzzo, Principal Creative Director of ICArt. “It captures the intelligence and imagination of our guests. Our intention was to create a visual impact that sparks curiosity, both visually and conceptually. Our curatorial direction at the Silver Nova sheds light on a new way of perceiving, a new way of being, and a new way of discovering. It’s about exploring world cultures and exploring destinations.”
Highlights of Silver Nova's art collection include:
- THE MESSINA COLLECTION: 38 BRONZE SCULPTURES
The Messina Collection comprises 38 bronze sculptures created by the renowned Italian sculptor Francesco Messina in the classic Novecento of the 20th century. Silversea acquired the collection in 2006, and 14 significant pieces have been brought together for the first time aboard the Silver Nova. One of the collection's most prominent sculptures is the 'Scuola di Danza' (School of Dance).
- SUITES' HALLWAYS: A DIALOGUE BETWEEN THE PAST AND THE PRESENT
Silversea ambassador Steve McCurry's photographic work, displayed at key locations alongside numerous maps from the Theatrum Orbis Terrarum, considered the first true modern atlas, creates a dialogue between past and present, inviting guests on a journey through time. Each suite corridor, from Deck 6 to Deck 9, focuses on a distinct geographical region.
- OTIVM℠: ART INSPIRED BY ANCIENT ROME
Artwork inspired by ancient Rome decorates the Otium Spa and the two Otium Suites aboard the Silver Nova. In Roman culture, Otium, the opposite of negotium, was an indulgent period of leisure time, during which people bathed, conversed, theorized, drank, ate, and relaxed.
- THE LIBRARY: A DREAMY LOOK AT THE SEA AND THE SKY
In the Hidden Library on Deck 10, Albanian artist Artur Sula has created a ceiling mural that invites visitors to contemplate the sea and delve into the constellations of the night sky. The work, which covers almost 26 square meters,was hand-painted on-site and highlighted with 24-karat gold leaf.
