Atlas Ocean Voyages names physiotherapist and British Army Captain Harpreet “Preet” Kaur Chandi godmother of the World Voyager cruise ship, which will debut this fall in Antarctica.
Preet Chandi gained international recognition in 2022 when she completed an extraordinary solo expedition across Antarctica to the South Pole. Her outstanding achievements were recognized when she was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2022.
James Rodriguez, president of Atlas Ocean Voyages, stated, “We are honored to have Preet Chandi as the godmother of World Voyager. The christening ceremony for World Voyager will take place in Ushuaia, Argentina, on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. Atlas Ocean Voyages President and CEO James A. Rodriguez will preside over the event on board, after which the ship will begin its maiden 9-day voyage to Antarctica.
