The liquefied natural gas (LNG) cruise ship AIDAnova will begin its inaugural winter season from Hamburg. Sailing weekly to major cities across Western Europe, as well as Norway and Denmark, AIDAnova will offer guests a wide selection of special event cruises until February 24, 2024.
As part of AIDA's "Sea of Lights" special, everything on board the AIDAnova will revolve around dazzling light shows, atmospheric productions and winter attractions for four months in the 2023/2024 winter season.
To kick off the "sea of lights" voyages, German singer-songwriter Wincent Weiss will perform on stage aboard the AIDAnova on November 11, 2023. Stunning light displays and laser shows will transform the ship into a dazzling light show.
For example, the Beach Club will be bathed in a sea of lights, and floating luminous objects will create a festive atmosphere around the outdoor pools. Cable cars, cozy cabanas, and winter cabins with mulled wine, punch, and other treats complete the pre-Christmas program. Family time is highlighted with curling, light parades with the AIDA Clubbies, and lantern making followed by a parade. The 3,545-square-meter spa area on board the AIDAnova will ensure physical well-being in the cold outside temperatures, while the 17 restaurants will prepare festive culinary delights.
AIDA Special “Sea of Lights” 2023/2024
As part of the AIDA Special “Sea of Lights”, additional event cruises will also be launched for the winter months from December 2023 to February 2024. In December 2023, the focus will be on “Holiday Days Full of Sparkle”.
Here, everything will revolve around the Advent season, as well as Christmas specials. In January 2024, it's all about "Let it glow": Detox and relaxation are the magic words for a bright start to the year. Things get romantic in February 2024, just in time for Valentine's Day: whether it's a winter holiday with the kids or a romantic getaway for two, guests aboard AIDAnova will enjoy a sea of lights and a wide variety of experiences.
