Norwegian Cruise Line will, for the first time, have two ships based in Maryland: the Norwegian Sky and the Norwegian Sun. The ships will offer cruises from Baltimore to Canada and New England, Bermuda, and the Caribbean this fall and winter.
“The Port of Baltimore in Maryland offers convenient access and exceptional service,” said Maryland Secretary of Transportation Paul J. Wiedefeld. “The arrival of Norwegian Cruise Line further enhances the impact of cruise tourism as an economic driver for our state. The industry already generates nearly 400 jobs and $63 million in annual revenue for local businesses.”
The Norwegian Sky has begun a 10-day cruise to Canada and New England, with visits to Martha's Vineyard; Boston; Bar Harbor, Maine; Halifax, Nova Scotia; Sydney, Cape Breton Island; Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island; Saguenay, Quebec; and Quebec City. On September 21, the Norwegian Sky will set sail on an 11-day voyage to Canada and New England.
In addition, the Norwegian Sun will offer warm-weather getaways with a five-day cruise to Bermuda on November 22 and three 12-day Caribbean voyages on November 27, December 9, and December 21. The Norwegian Sky will also return to the Port of Baltimore in September 2024.
The Port of Baltimore has offered year-round cruises since 2009. The Baltimore Cruise Terminal is located off Interstate 95 and offers ample parking.
