Oelmann, who worked for TUI Cruises for 15 years as director of destination management and operations, will oversee the organization, coordination and execution of strategic and operational tasks as part of the management of the HafenCity Cruise project in collaboration with the Port Authority of Hamburg.

Simone Maraschi, MD of Cruise Gate Hamburg, told Seatrade Cruise News: 'We are delighted to have Tine join our team as the new project coordinator for the future Cruise Center HafenCity and we look forward to working together to drive this important terminal expansion forward for Hamburg.'

Located in Hamburg's Überseequartier, the new cruise terminal will be part of a complex that includes an underground bus station, parking and taxi access, as well as hotels and retail spaces. Cruise ships calling at the new terminal will dock directly in the heart of the city.

The facilities will be inaugurated in 2025 and will be equipped to supply electricity to docked ships.
