Cruise Saudi, owned by the Public Investment Fund and a pioneer in the development of the Saudi tourism industry, will launch its own cruise line, AROYA Cruises.
AROYA Cruises will offer Saudi citizens, expatriates, and visitors to the region an opportunity to explore the wonders of Saudi Arabia from the sea. Committed to showcasing authentic Arabian experiences, AROYA Cruises will reflect the country's cultural heritage, natural beauty, and hospitality.
AROYA Cruises will offer a program of shore excursions that will culminate in a unique offering in the region.
“This momentous step marks a historic milestone in Cruise Saudi’s ambitious strategy to create a premium cruise ecosystem in Saudi Arabia, in line with Vision 2030,” said Lars Clasen, CEO of Cruise Saudi. “AROYA Cruises will operate as an independent brand within the Cruise Saudi portfolio, aiming to offer experiences and services specifically designed to embrace Arab preferences.”
The launch of AROYA Cruises will be led by Ghassan Khan. The brand will be managed as an independent business unit that will support Cruise Saudi's strategic objectives of welcoming 1.3 million cruise visitors by 2035 and providing 50,000 direct and indirect jobs.
Ghassan Khan stated: “This is an extremely exciting moment. It is a privilege to launch this cruise line as a central element in the development of Saudi Arabia as an international cruise destination.”
AROYA Cruises' itineraries and packages are currently under development and will be announced at its commercial launch, which will take place in the coming months.
