Carnival Pride kicks off its European season from the Port of Barcelona. The ship set sail on its first voyage of the summer season in Europe, sporting Carnival, after undergoing accessibility improvements for guests with disabilities.
President Christine Duffy and Culinary Director Emeril Lagasse visited the ship in the Spanish city before it set sail. “I’m so proud of our team. They’ve done an incredible job refreshing and upgrading the Carnival Pride just in time for its European voyages,” said Duffy.
The 2,680-guest Carnival Pride has returned to service with several new Carnival offerings and enhancements, including a new Heroes Tribute Bar, Chef's Table, Dreams Studio, and Carnival Adventures Shop. In addition, the ship's steakhouse has been renovated and renamed Fahrenheit 555, the casino has been expanded, and the spa has been renamed Cloud 9 Spa and Fitness Center.
The first passengers to sail the ship from Barcelona embark on a 12-day voyage, with ports of call including Lisbon, Portugal; Le Havre (Paris), France; and Zeebrugge (Brussels), Belgium.
The ship will sail a series of European cruises through October 28, 2023, including several itineraries departing from Dover, UK; Barcelona, Spain; and Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy. The ship concludes its European season with a 15-day transatlantic voyage back to the US, departing October 28, 2023, and arriving in Tampa, Florida, on November 12, 2023.
