Viking presents Treasures of the Rhine, a new river cruise offering guests the chance to experience Europe's rich culture during the winter. The new Middle Rhine itinerary launches in December 2023.
“The Rhine is one of our most popular destinations. With its hilltop castles, historic towns, and terraced vineyards along the steep valley slopes, it’s a region that will always be best explored by river,” said Torstein Hagen, Chairman of Viking. “Many of our guests have cruised the Rhine during other seasons, so we’re delighted to offer a new option during a quieter time of year.”
The 10-day Treasures of the Rhine itinerary allows guests to discover the Rhine's rich landscapes and cultures, featuring towering fortresses, grand cathedrals, medieval towns, and breathtaking scenery. Winter offers Viking guests fewer crowds, easier access to iconic landmarks, and the opportunity to savor Alsatian culinary traditions while exploring Amsterdam, Basel, and Cologne.
Accommodating up to 190 guests in 95 cabins, the Viking Longships fleet offers a variety of cabin categories and true two-bedroom suites with full-size verandas. Onboard amenities include a restaurant, bar and lounge, library, and a spacious sundeck.
The release dates for Treasures of the Rhine begin in December 2023 and extend until early March 2024.
