The Board of Directors of the Port of Barcelona has approved the launch of the tender for the construction of the superstructure for Phase 3 of the Adossat Wharf. The project, with a base tender budget of €7,046,362 (excluding VAT), will include the construction of 631 meters of quayside, including port equipment (lifeladders, bollards, and fenders), the installation of utility networks (water, telecommunications, and medium-voltage connection), and the drainage network.

The project, which has a six-month execution period, will prepare this dock for the construction of the MSC terminal and the future RO-PAX terminal. Subsequently, the concessionary companies will have to develop the area and install the necessary infrastructure for operations.
In this regard, it should be noted that the project for which the tender has been launched incorporates the necessary superstructure to install the medium voltage network that will allow electricity to reach the ships, as specified in the Nexigen project for the electrification of the docks of the Port of Barcelona.
Terminal H will be the sixth cruise terminal at the Adossat dock, which currently has five in service. These are Terminals A, B, and C, managed by Creuers del Port de Barcelona, and Terminals D (Palacruceros) and E (Helix), operated by the Carnival group. The seventh and final terminal will be Terminal G.
The concentration of all cruise activity at the Adossat dock is the result of an agreement signed by the port and the City Council in 2018, which aims to move it away from the port areas closest to the city.
