Currently in the final phase of its construction, the Silver Nova ship from Silversea Cruisesarrives with a new vision of how to sail, incorporating innovations in design and sustainability.
The design of the Silver Nova has focused particularly on incorporating innovations that allow guests to fully enjoy the views. Both the suites and most of the common areas feature large windows with 270º views, and the glass elevators offer a broad perspective of the destination, including uninterrupted panoramic views that give the sensation of being on a "transparent ship.".
The ship's pool deck offers expansive views from any point thanks to its horseshoe-shaped design, also providing a view of the horizon from the infinity pools and jacuzzis.
Guests can enjoy them from the Dusk Bar while having a drink, or at The Marquee which offers different gastronomic options.
Silver Nova also incorporates a new generation of luxury suites thanks to the ship's unique architecture.
The thirteen suite categories feature a more luxurious design inspired by Italian architecture, incorporating large windows and balconies that allow for that wide perspective of the destination that is so sought after.
These include: Otium Suite, in the premium aft area, which has a 270º view and a 40m² balcony; Master Suite, with a bathtub overlooking the sea; Silver Suite, one of the most highly rated; Junior Grand Suite, at the top of the bow; Medallion Suite, with panoramic views; and Veranda Suite, with glass walls and a private teak terrace at the top of the stern.
On the other hand, Silversea wanted to give a twist to gastronomy and incorporate new culinary experiences on the Silver Nova thanks to a varied selection of restaurants and chefs.
The Sea and Land Taste (SALT) gastronomic program incorporated on the ship combines recipes from different destinations and chefs, creating a gourmet experience for each guest where they can enjoy the local cuisine of each place.
The Silver Nova will feature eight different restaurants, varying in space, style, and cuisine, most of which can be enjoyed from morning until night.
Regarding sustainability, Silversea is committed to caring for the oceans, the environment and the ecosystems that inhabit it.
This is why one of the Silver Nova's major innovations is its design, which is committed to these issues. The ship is being built to incorporate the most sustainable technologies available for cruise ships.
It was designed with the intention of minimizing its environmental impact, from its carbon footprint during construction. The Silver Nova incorporates technologies that work to reduce onboard waste; even the hull design minimizes fuel consumption while simultaneously increasing dynamic efficiency.
It also features an Automatic Macro Gasification System that reduces emissions from incineration, and a Waste Heat Recovery System that allows the ship to reuse waste heat and thus increase energy efficiency.
The Silver Nova also reduces emissions in port through a system that deactivates the generators and allows the ship to be connected to power sources on land.
The Silver Nova will begin sailing in the summer of 2023, visiting more than 40 countries and 100 destinations in Europe, Central America and South America.
Silversea offers an all-inclusive service on this ship, allowing guests to enjoy everything from private transfers and international round-trip flights to butler services in suites, restaurants without table reservations or assignments, and even immersive experiences.
