The addition of the 114-suite Scenic Eclipse II to the fleet marks a milestone for Scenic, doubling its capacity in the exclusive exploration cruise market. The 168-meter vessel is a near-identical sister ship to the original Scenic Eclipse, which set the benchmark for ultra-luxury cruising when it launched in 2019. For the first two months of operation, Scenic Eclipse II will explore the picturesque coastal waters and coves of Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, Spain, and France before heading north to Norway for a series of Arctic expeditions.

“The arrival of the Scenic Eclipse II is truly a dream come true,” said Glen Moroney. “Seeing it here today is a testament to the incredible work of the Scenic Group and MKM Yachts team.”.

Under the leadership of Captain Erwan le Rouzic, guests on the inaugural cruise will enjoy enhanced ultra-luxury spaces, new culinary experiences, and exclusive cultural moments. Tom Goetter, Director of Food and Beverage for Scenic Group Oceans, will oversee the ship's ten inspiring culinary options; Expedition Operations Director Jason Flesher, along with his Discovery Team, will offer expert insights into the many life-enhancing excursions available.

Among the design improvements introduced on the 168-meter-long Scenic Eclipse II are the new Sky Deck, which now offers 270-degree views, and a brand-new Sky Bar with indoor and outdoor seating, including six private cabanas that allow guests to enjoy the stunning views with their favorite drink in hand.

Another new feature is the large oval-shaped swimming pool, furnished with comfortable pieces by the Italian design house Paola Lenti. Guests on the inaugural voyage will be able to fully immerse themselves in the ship's art collection; exclusively, British artist Carl Hush will be on board to install his new artwork live in Koko's Asian Fusion restaurant.

The upcoming voyages of the Scenic Eclipse II include Arctic itineraries in summer—exploring Norway, Greenland, Iceland, and Canada—followed by a tour of the British Isles before crossing the Atlantic to the Caribbean, passing through the Panama Canal to South America, and finally, heading south to Chile, Argentina, and Antarctica in winter. In March 2024, it will cross the Pacific to French Polynesia, Tahiti, and Fiji, before embarking on a series of cruises to explore the Kimberley coast during the Australian winter. New Zealand, Indonesia, and the Solomon Islands are among the other Pacific destinations through October 2024.
