The new Scenic Eclipse II left the 3.Maj shipyard in Rijeka, Croatia, on April 6, 2023. The ship is headed to Lisbon for its maiden voyage, which begins on April 13, the 11-day Incredible Iberian Discovery from Lisbon to Barcelona.
Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, MKM Yachts CEO Sasa Cokljat, and other dignitaries attended the ship's departure, joining Glen Moroney, Chairman and Founder of the Scenic Group.
Other planned itineraries for the Scenic Eclipse II include:
- the 15-day cruise “Beyond the Antarctic Circle”, departing from Ushuaia;
- the 12-day trip “Exploring the High Arctic”, which will set sail on August 2, 2023;
- the nine-day cruise “Scottish Islands: Historic Trails and Wilderness”, departing on September 13, 2023;
- “Caribbean Sunsets: From the Turks and Caicos Islands to Jamaica”, departing from Nassau on October 23, 2023;
- the 11-day cruise “Australia's Top End: Cape York and Arnhem Land”, which will set sail on April 30, 2024;
- and the 13-day cruise “Reefs and Volcanic Islands: From Tahiti to Fiji”, departing on March 31, 2024.
With a capacity for 228 guests, the Scenic Eclipse II offers a 920-square-meter Senses Spa with a steam room, saunas, temperature-controlled plunge pools, and a manicure and pedicure studio. There is also an onboard yoga and pilates studio.
