Fans were asked to create a poster commemorating Holland America Line's 150th anniversary, paying homage to the company's historic advertising posters. Thomas's prize is a seven-day Alaskan cruise for two in a balcony stateroom. "It perfectly reflects our past and the brand we are today.".

The jury, made up of members of the HAL team, selected Thomas' design for its variety of colors, nostalgic aesthetic and modernized interpretation of the brand.

Austin Thomas has won a seven-day Alaskan cruise for two for creating the winning poster.

In addition to appearing on HAL's social media channels, the poster will be displayed at the Rotterdam cruise terminal on April 18 and 19, to mark the shipping company's 150th anniversary.
