Royal Caribbean International has unveiled fifteen bars and nighttime entertainment options that will light up the Icon of the Seas.
The Icon will unveil a new offering when it begins sailing in January 2024, with new features such as a piano duel for travelers who enjoy live music, or the ability to hop from bar to bar to sample coffee-infused or bubbly cocktails in the new champagne bar.
The various venues offer more than 40 dining options. Highlights include musical spaces like Lou's Jazz 'n Blues in Central Park and Dueling Pianos on the Royal Promenade, as well as places to enjoy a drink, such as the Rye & Bean café in AquaDome and Bubbles, the champagne bar in Central Park, and even gaming areas like Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade.
“We wanted to introduce a new kind of vacation in every sense, and we started from scratch to create a unique combination of ways for travelers to celebrate and make memories, regardless of their mood, environment, and style,” said Linken D’Souza, Vice President of Food and Beverage at Royal Caribbean International. “From new spaces and existing favorites to new iconic drinks on every menu, non-alcoholic cocktails, and reimagined classics, there’s something for everyone to make the most of their nights on Icon of the Seas.”.
The Icon of the Seas offers unparalleled venues for enjoying a drink and a show simultaneously: Piano Duel on the Royal Promenade; Lou's 'n Blues in Central Park; the Rye & Bean café; The Overlook and Overlook Pods with aquatic shows…
It also features spaces like the 1400 Lobby Bar, inspired by shipbuilding, with a great selection of cocktails by Tony Abou-Ganim; the new Bubbles, specializing in champagne in Central Park; Trellis Bar; Boleros as a nightclub with a Latin flavor; and the Schooner Bar for drinks to the rhythm of piano music.
On the other hand, there are spaces with entertainment games such as darts at Point & Feather; game days and board games at Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade; and the legendary karaoke at Spotlight Karaoke.
Icon will sail 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries from Miami year-round. Each cruise will visit Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas, Royal Caribbean's private island destination, featuring Thrill Waterpark's 13 waterslides, the first overwater cabanas at Coco Beach Club in the Bahamas, and much more. This itinerary also includes Caribbean destinations such as Cozumel, Mexico; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; and Roatán, Honduras.
