Azamara is removing its COVID-19 boarding test requirement effective July 25, 2022, excluding ports where it is still required in accordance with country regulations.
To ensure the health and safety of its guests and crew, Azamara will continue to require proof of vaccination before boarding.
Azamara recommends that all guests departing from any port get tested before their trip to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable travel experience, but those results will not be required to board an Azamara ship. Pre-cruise testing remains a requirement for travelers embarking from a port where these protocols are in place. In those cases, guests will still need to present a negative COVID-19 test before sailing.
“The easing of our testing policy marks a step in the right direction toward a return to normalcy for the travel and cruise industry,” said Azamara President Carol Cabezas. “Cruising is one of the safest ways to travel, and our current onboard health and safety protocols will ensure peace of mind for our guests and crew as we move forward.”
Azamara maintains a strong commitment to well-being through its 'Explore Well at Sea', keeping guest safety as a top priority. The company continues to require all guests aged 12 and over to be fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to departure with all required doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Azamara's crew must also be fully vaccinated. COVID-19 testing will continue to be available for guests on board as needed.
