AIDA Cruises will sail around the Canary Islands starting December 5th

AIDA Cruises has announced the start of its Canary Islands cruise season on December 5th. The German cruise line offers seven-day voyages from Gran Canaria on two ships departing on Saturdays and Sundays: the AIDAperla, starting December 5th, and the AIDAmar, starting December 20th with its Christmas cruise. Passengers must provide a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within three days of boarding.

In November, the Spanish government adopted clear regulations for travel safety in the Canary Islands, which align with the hygiene and prevention measures already established by AIDA. AIDA's health and safety protocols, audited by the Fresenius Institute of SGS and confirmed by the classification society DNV-GL, among others, include measures such as free pre-trip COVID-19 testing, safe arrival and departure, medical care, social distancing rules, and enhanced disinfection measures on board, as well as guided shore excursions.

Due to the current situation in the United Arab Emirates, Spain (excluding the Canary Islands) and France, AIDA will have to adjust its program in the Middle East and Western Mediterranean, cancelling all cruises on the AIDAstella and AIDAprima scheduled between December 1, 2020 and January 26, 2021. Customers whose cruises are canceled will be informed immediately.

AIDA Cruises offers its guests a high level of safety during their vacation. From the initial booking process to trip preparation, embarkation and disembarkation at the port, onboard stay, and medical care: In addition to the already high standards of hygiene and health, AIDA Cruises has developed new health and safety protocols in conjunction with national and international authorities and has implemented various preventative measures.
