Princess Cruises announces its longest season ever in Europe for summer 2022

Princess Cruises has announced its longest European season ever for summer 2022, including cruises aboard the Sky Princess, which recently joined the fleet in October 2019 with a capacity of 3,660 passengers. The Sky Princess will be sailing, based in Southampton, from March to October 2022, a total of 215 days—a month longer than any previous season in the UK.

The Sky Princess will join four other ships in Europe for the 2022 summer season. The Crown Princess will also be based in Southampton, offering itineraries around the British Isles. The newest ship in the fleet, the Enchanted Princess, will sail to Scandinavia and Russia, based in Copenhagen. The Regal Princess will be stationed in the Mediterranean, while the Island Princess will visit various destinations across Europe.

The Sky Princess will offer a total of 18 cruises based in Southampton. It will also sail to the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Canada, and New England, with several new cruises including:

• A 25-day trip to Canada and New England departing in September that includes one night in New York with stops in Corner Brook, Sydney (Cape Breton Island), Charlottetown (Prince Edward Island), New York (overnight in port), Newport, Boston, Bar Harbor (Acadia National Park), Saint John (Bay of Fundy), Halifax and St. John's (Newfoundland).

· A 14-day Easter cruise through Spain, France and Portugal sailing in April with stops in La Rochelle (Cognac), Bilbao, Lisbon, Gibraltar, Cadiz, Malaga, Cartagena and Vigo.

• A seven-day cruise through Scandinavia in May with stops in Kristiansand, Copenhagen, Skagen and Oslo.

The Crown Princess, with a capacity for 3,080 passengers, will offer 14 cruises around the British Isles from May to October, based in Southampton. The ship will call at cities such as Liverpool, Guernsey, Dublin, Belfast, the Orkney Islands (Kirkwall), and Edinburgh, with select itineraries that also include overnight stays in some ports of call.

The Island Princess, with a capacity for 2,200 passengers, will sail to the far reaches of Europe, offering opportunities to see the Northern Lights, visit the summit of Norway during the Midsummer Solstice, and enjoy cruises to Greenland and Iceland with multiple stops in both destinations. The Island Princess will also sail the Mediterranean, including two cruises to the Holy Land and Israel departing from/arriving in the port of Rome (Civitavecchia). Throughout the season, there are also numerous opportunities to visit special festivals, such as the famous Edinburgh Military Tattoo in August aboard the Crown Princess and Island Princess, and the renowned Oktoberfest in Hamburg, Germany, aboard the Island Princess.

The Regal Princess will sail the Mediterranean with cruises from Barcelona, ​​Rome or Athens offering a variety of cruises ranging from 7 to 21 days in length, including cruises to the Western Mediterranean, the Adriatic Sea and the Aegean Sea with Greece and Turkey.
