Celestyal Cruises, a Greek cruise company based in the Port of Piraeus (Athens), is collaborating in the fight against COVID-19 by donating 5.5 tons of non-perishable food, first aid kits and personal hygiene products to approximately 7,500 people in need, residents of the municipalities in the Piraeus region and the Piraeus nursing home.

In response to the growing needs of the National Health System during this unprecedented situation, Celestyal Cruises has collaborated with the Ministry of Health, supporting the national health system and donating medical supplies, consisting of 12,000 masks and 1,100 liters of liquid disinfectant, for distribution to Health Centers dedicated to COVID-19 patients.
Furthermore, in gratitude to the country's healthcare workers, who are at the forefront of the fight against the pandemic, selflessly working for the well-being of society, Celestyal Cruises has gifted the first healthcare professionals on the front lines with 50 three-day cruises for two people. The cruises, with itineraries around the Greek islands, include full board and a beverage package, as well as onboard entertainment and excursions to ancient Ephesus (Kusadasi) and the Palace of Knossos (Crete), and can be taken during 2020 and 2021.
In addition, Celestyal Cruises will soon launch a global policy of exclusive discounts for frontline healthcare workers.
“As we live through one of the most challenging times in modern history, our goal is to support and provide relief to socially vulnerable groups affected by the pandemic, but we also want to show our gratitude to those on the front lines of this fight. In these extremely difficult and unpredictable times globally, values such as humanity and solidarity are paramount ,” said Chris Theophilides, CEO of Celestyal Cruises.
