MSC Cruises extends the suspension of operations for its entire fleet until May 29

Geneva, Switzerland, March 30, 2020 – MSC Cruises has decided to further extend the suspension of all new cruise departures across its entire fleet until May 29, in light of the extraordinary circumstances the world is facing in relation to the global health emergency caused by the Covid-19 virus.

The company announced a few weeks ago the temporary suspension of all its ships worldwide until April 30. As governments around the world have further strengthened public health and safety measures on land to protect local populations and contain the further spread of the virus, MSC Cruises' decision today to extend this extraordinary measure is intended to reflect and further support the effectiveness of such efforts.

MSC Cruises is working tirelessly with all passengers and their travel agents to address the impact of this necessary decision on bookings on our ships up to May 29. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. By announcing this, the company intends to provide travel agents and passengers with bookings on future voyages as far in advance as possible so they can reschedule their cruise as soon as possible.

MSC Cruises is offering passengers affected by this extraordinary measure the opportunity to transfer the full amount paid for their cancelled holiday plus a generous additional credit benefit to a future cruise of their choice at any time until the end of 2021.

For further details and in-depth updates, guests should contact their travel agent or consult the local MSC Cruises website at www.msccruises.es
