Silversea has completed the major renovation of the Silver Whisper, just in time for it to host WorldCruise 2017, an exclusive 116-day voyage from San Francisco to Monte Carlo.
The ship, which has been elegantly refurbished, includes a number of upgrades, ranging from new carpeting in all suites to remodeled walls and rejuvenated floors in the restaurants, the Connoisseur's Corner, the Panorama Lounge, the Spa and the Beauty Salon. The Restaurant and La Terrazza feature newly upholstered chairs. The Observation Lounge, which has been restored with new paneling and wood details, incorporates a new bar with marble counters and elegant display cases.
The pool deck has been enhanced with the installation of two jacuzzis. In addition, artificial turf has been installed on the jogging and spa decks, inviting guests to enjoy outdoor activities.
“The aim of this refurbishment was to refresh the style of the Silver Whisper and honor the ship that hosts our iconic world cruises, reigniting the onboard experience for our guests,” said Roberto Martinoli, CEO of Silversea. “The enhancements made to the Silver Whisper perfectly complement the high level of personalized service our guests receive on every voyage, whether on a 7-day Mediterranean cruise or sailing around the world.”
The refurbishment of the Silver Whisper in the Bahamas represents the third phase of Silversea's $170 million fleet renewal project, the largest in the company's history. As part of the initiative, the Silver Discoverer and Silver Wind also underwent extensive refurbishments this year. The Silver Cloud is also scheduled for a refurbishment in late 2017, which will include its conversion into an icebreaking exploration vessel.
