The president of the Port Authority of Castellón presented a plaque to the captain of the Silver Cloud cruise ship, operated by SilverSea, on the occasion of its maiden call at the port of Castellón. Francisco Toledo was received by Michele Macarone Palmieri, to whom he highlighted the attractions of the province of Castellón and praised the port of Castellón as “a port of opportunity.”.
The Silver Cloud, from Silversea Cruises, has docked with 269 European passengers on board. This luxury cruise ship will depart from PortCastelló, after the tourists were able to choose from different destinations to explore the province and its surroundings. Specifically, five buses have been arranged for Peñíscola, Benicàssim, and Valencia.
In addition, two shuttle buses have been hired to the center of Castellón throughout the day for the hundred passengers and part of the crew who have chosen to visit the city.
It should be remembered that the welcome deployment has been coordinated by the Cruise Traffic Promotion Committee, which includes the Castellón City Council, the Castellón Provincial Council, the Castellón Chamber of Commerce, the Valencia Tourism Agency, the PortCastelló Foundation and the Castellón Port Authority.
