Roberto Martinoli has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Silversea Cruises. The leading luxury cruise company announced today that Martinoli's appointment as CEO will be effective September 19.
Martinoli, a member of Silversea's Board of Directors since 2013, becomes CEO after an extensive and successful career in the cruise and shipbuilding industries. “Roberto is a dedicated professional with extensive experience leading large companies in positions of great responsibility. I am confident that he will be instrumental in driving Silversea forward and improving performance levels in luxury, service, and business,” stated Manfredi Lefebvre d'Ovidio, Executive Chairman of Silversea Cruises.
“I met Manfredi many years ago as a colleague, I have worked closely with the Silversea team in my role as a member of the Board of Directors for the past 4 years, and I am excited to have the opportunity to further develop my relationship with this fantastic company as we enter this new stage of growth,” said Martinoli.
Based in Monaco, Martinoli will report directly to Manfredi Lefebvre d'Ovidio, Executive Chairman of Silversea Cruises.
Martinoli replaces Enzo Visone as general manager.
