The Thompson Celebration accommodates 1,222 passengers and 550 crew members. The ship is 294 meters long and 32 meters wide. The passengers arrived from Hvar and set sail for Dubrovnik, the final stop on their journey.

The passengers of the Thomson Celebration were welcomed with local offerings and folk dances. Some passengers took excursions to explore Montenegro. The rest of the passengers and crew enjoyed the city of Bar.

“It is an honor to be able to provide the necessary infrastructure to all our clients. The Port of Adria has all the conditions to accommodate large vessels. Our intention is to improve these conditions in the future,” said Sedat Kara, acting general manager of the Port of Adria.

The town's mayor, Zoran Srzentić, emphasized the importance of cruise ship development for the local economy. “We are aware of the importance and potential of Bar if, in addition to commercial operations, our port is able to attract cruise ships as well. These are just the first steps in this direction. Therefore, as the local government, and in cooperation with public companies, we would like to provide the necessary support to our partners in this process.”.

“Since we began doing business in Montenegro, Global Ports Holding has included Bar as a new destination. We believe that Bar and Montenegro have great cruise tourism potential. Our intention is to increase the number of cruise ships and create opportunities for the local economy. This first visit has left us with a very positive impression, and I am confident that Bar will become an important stop on Adriatic cruise itineraries,” said Arpak Demircan, Deputy Managing Director of Global Ports Holding.
