Crystal Cruises has announced the appointment of Christian Sauleau as its new Vice President of Operations. In this new role, Sauleau will oversee the hotel, food and beverage, entertainment, and shore activities departments. He will also be responsible for safety and security operations, as well as the recruitment processes for officers and crew, with the goal of maintaining high guest satisfaction levels.
“Christian Sauleau has industry knowledge and experience launching new ships and innovative programs,” says Crystal President and CEO Edie Rodriguez. “We are thrilled that he has agreed to join us as we continue to grow and offer great deals to our guests, demonstrating that customer satisfaction remains our top priority.”
Thomas Mazloum, Chief Operating Officer, adds: “Sauleau has been an award-winning executive for over 25 years and will bring his experience and expertise to the Crystal family.”
In her previous roles, she has overseen the construction and commissioning of several luxury ships and has collaborated with some of the most innovative organizations, such as Le Cordon Bleu, the culinary school of Paris, and renowned chef Paul Bocuse. Another of her achievements has been working with Jean-Michel Cousteau's Ocean Futures Society to offer the Ambassadors of the Environment program to young travelers.
In his new role at Crystal, he will be responsible for maintaining and supporting ocean cruises, as well as Crystal Yacht Cruises, Crystal River Cruises, and Crystal Exclusive Class. Sauleau will work closely with Crystal teams at its Los Angeles headquarters and Miami branch.
