The Small and Medium-Sized Business Association of Ibiza and Formentera (Pimeef) yesterday launched a new app called "Ibiza Cruises Shopping Map," which provides cruise passengers with information on 60 shops and restaurants in Ibiza Town. Business owners, for their part, emphasized the need to "give more importance" to cruise tourism in order to reduce seasonality.
The president of the Pimeef Trade Association, José Javier Marí, unveiled the new app alongside the president of the Association of Bars, Restaurants and Cafeterias, Joan Riera Ripoll, and highlighted that it will be a tool for cruise ship passengers to "move around and enjoy the city, both for shopping and for going to a restaurant.".
The presentation, which took place next to the cruise ship 'Mein Schiff', docked at the es Botafoc dam, was also attended by the island director of Tourism of the Consell, Vicent Torres, Benet, and the councilor of Commerce and Tourism of Vila, Gloria Corral.
