P&O Cruises presents its 2028-2029 winter program, featuring 130 destinations worldwide

P&O Cruises has unveiled its new cruise schedule for the winter of 2028-2029, which includes stops at 130 destinations around the world and longer stays in ports such as Rio de Janeiro, Madeira and Antigua.

The program features popular destinations for enjoying the winter sun, such as the Canary Islands and the Mediterranean, as well as long-haul voyages in North and South America.

Bookings made until December 16, 2026 for departures from October 12, 2028 onwards will be eligible for the following launch offers:

  • 10% introductory discount on select 2028 winter cruises with Select Price fare.
  • Peninsular Club members receive an additional 5% discount on selected Select Price cruises. This offer is available until the departure date.
  • Free cabin upgrade on select cruises with Select Price and Early Saver fares.
  • Deposit reduced to 10% for bookings with Select Price and Early Saver rates.

New features of the 2028 winter program

  • Azura will incorporate two embarkation and disembarkation options into its cruise program with flights included through the Canary Islands, adding departures from Gran Canaria to those already existing from Tenerife.
  • Arcadia will celebrate a special farewell season that will include an expanded version of its round-the-world cruise, with a more varied itinerary than in previous years, new inaugural stops and the return to ports that have not been visited for many years.
  • Aurora will extend her grand tour of the United States and the Caribbean, with overnight stays in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, combining North and South American destinations in a longer vacation.
  • Azura will make more stops in Morocco, including new visits to Agadir in its itineraries with flights included via the Canary Islands.
  • The schedule of cruises through Europe with flights included will be extended for two more weeks, until October, with itineraries through the central and western Mediterranean that will incorporate destinations such as Dubrovnik and Split, in addition to Rome, from Civitavecchia, and Livorno, to visit Florence and Pisa.
  • Arcadia will also stop in Madeira on New Year's Eve, allowing passengers to enjoy the island's internationally renowned fireworks display.

Main routes

Arcadia's world cruise, part of its farewell season, will feature several inaugural calls and return to ports that have been absent from the cruise line's itineraries for many years. These include Nosy Be in Madagascar; Hiroshima and Osaka in Japan; Maputo in Mozambique; Mahé in the Seychelles; Kochi in India; and Puerto Princesa in the Philippines. The itinerary will also include Puerto Vallarta and Huatulco in Mexico.

The itinerary also includes destinations that haven't been part of P&O Cruises' program for over 20 years. This is the case with Maputo, whose last stop was 29 years ago, and Puerto Vallarta, which last received a ship from the company 26 years ago.

Meanwhile, Aurora's grand 75-night US and Caribbean voyage will combine destinations in North and South America, with overnight stays in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, plus stopovers in Brazil, Uruguay, the Falkland Islands and Chile.

Other featured itineraries include Britannia's 18-night Atlantic Islands cruise, with stops in Morocco and Cape Verde; another 14-night Atlantic Islands tour, with an overnight stay in Madeira and visits to Morocco; Aurora's 24-night Caribbean cruise, departing from and returning to the UK; and Ventura's 21-night Mediterranean voyage in February.
