Seabourn presents the storytelling group from "The Atlantic" on its fall 2026 cruises

Seabourn today unveiled the first group of voices from The Atlantic who will sail as part of Seabourn Conversations, bringing to life the luxury cruise line’s exclusive three-year partnership with the award-winning publication. The invited speakers include David Frum, staff writer for The Atlantic and host of The David Frum Show; Megan Garber, writer and author; Yvonne Rolzhausen, senior editor and head of fact-checking; and Evan Smith, managing director of events.

This programming reflects Seabourn's ongoing commitment to bringing enriching conversations and influential storytellers aboard for its guests.

The announcement builds on the collaboration between Seabourn and The Atlantic, announced earlier this year, to offer select programs and exclusive experiences on chosen Seabourn cruises as part of Seabourn Conversations. Designed to foster meaningful dialogue, Seabourn Conversations brings guests face-to-face with leading thinkers, authors, and experts in culture, science, history, and the arts, delivering some of the most engaging conversations at sea. The collaboration reflects Seabourn’s ongoing commitment to providing boundless enrichment and exclusive onboard access.

  • Megan Garber is a staff writer for The Atlantic , and her work explores the intersection of culture and media. She has received a Mirror Award for her media writing and previously worked as a reporter for the Nieman Journalism Lab and as a critic for the Columbia Journalism Review. She is the author of Screen People: How We Entertained Ourselves into a State of Emergency and On Misdirection: Magic, Mayhem, American Politics.
  • Yvonne Rolzhausen is managing editor and head of fact-checking at The Atlantic. During her more than 30 years at The Atlantic, she has become a leading voice on journalistic accuracy, editorial rigor, and fact-checking processes, and frequently speaks at conferences on journalistic standards at universities and internationally.

  • David Frum is a staff writer for The Atlantic and host of the weekly podcast The David Frum Show. He writes about public policy, politics, art, literature, and history, and is the author of 10 books, most recently Trumpocracy (2018) and Trumpocalypse (2020). He was a speechwriter for President George W. Bush in 2001 and 2002 and later chaired the prominent British center-right think tank Policy Exchange from 2014 to 2017.
  • Evan Smith is managing director of events at The Atlantic, where he oversees the publication's live journalism and public programming, and is a senior advisor to the Emerson Collective. Previously, he spent more than 13 years at The Texas Tribune, which he co-founded and led as executive editor, and nearly 18 years at Texas Monthly, including nine years as managing editor and one year as president. He hosts Overheard with Evan Smith, a weekly talk show that airs on PBS stations nationwide.

Additional programming from The Atlantic for 2027 will be announced at a later date, and the collaboration will culminate in the exclusive “12-day With The Atlantic: A Seabourn Conversations Exclusive” voyage aboard Seabourn Quest, departing on October 4, 2028, during Seabourn’s 40th anniversary year. The voyage will feature exclusive editorial programming developed in collaboration with The Atlantic and inspired by the spirit of The Atlantic Festival, bringing together journalism, ideas, and cultural conversation in a way unique to this partnership.

The collaboration also includes other initiatives designed to incorporate The Atlantic 's expertise into the Seabourn journey, including access to digital content for guests on select cruises and curated libraries featuring recent issues of The Atlantic magazine and books by current and historical authors available throughout the Seabourn fleet.
