The Turkish airline maintains an occupancy rate of over 86% during July and reaches 54 million passengers between January and July.
Turkish Airlines closed July 2016 with 9.5 million passengers carried, maintaining a high load factor across its network. The company recorded a load factor of 86.5%, according to traffic data for the month.
International flights reached an occupancy rate of 86.2%, while domestic operations stood at 89.1%.
Capacity also continued to grow. Available seat kilometers (ASKs) increased by 2.7% year-on-year, from 25 billion in July 2025 to 25.7 billion in the same month this year.
The cargo business also experienced positive growth. Turkish Airlines transported 203,100 tons of cargo and mail, 4.9% more than in July 2015.
54 million passengers in the first seven months
The year-to-date growth is even more significant. Between January and July 2026, Turkish Airlines carried 54 million passengers, 5.4% more than during the same period of the previous year.
The cumulative load factor stood at 84.2%, with 84% on international flights and 85.7% on domestic routes.
During these seven months, the capacity offered, measured in available seat kilometers (ASK), grew by 4.7%, reaching 161.2 billion, compared to 154 billion recorded a year earlier.
The transport of cargo and mail showed an even greater growth, of 12%, going from 1.2 million tons between January and July 2025 to 1.4 million tons in the same period of 2026.
A fleet of 563 aircraft
At the end of July, Turkish Airlines' fleet reached 563 aircraft, reflecting the capacity expansion that accompanies the growth of its passenger and cargo traffic.
The data published by the company consolidates the operations of Turkish Airlines and AJet, its brand specializing mainly in short and medium-haul flights.
The results thus reinforce Turkish Airlines' position as one of the major international air carriers, with Istanbul as one of the main connection points between Europe, Asia, the Middle East and other global markets.
