Sonia López Corrales Has Been Appointed Director of Business Development for Iberia & the Nordics at Norwegian Cruise Line

Norwegian Cruise Line has promoted Sonia López Corrales to Director of Business Development for Iberia & the Nordics. This appointment recognizes both her strong track record and the company’s ongoing commitment to driving growth in Spain, Portugal, and the Nordic countries.

Sonia López Corrales Has Been Appointed Director of Business Development for Iberia & the Nordics at Norwegian Cruise LineIn her new role, she will be responsible for continuing to strengthen NCL’s commercial presence in the Iberian Peninsula, as well as expanding her responsibilities to include business development and sales in the Nordic markets (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland). Under this new structure, Tom-Andre Baraas, Business Development Manager for the Nordics, will report directly to her.

In her new role, she will be responsible for continuing to strengthen NCL’s commercial presence in the Iberian Peninsula, as well as expanding her responsibilities to include business development and sales in the Nordic markets (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland). Under this new structure, Tom-Andre Baraas, Business Development Manager for the Nordics, will report directly to her.

Sonia joined NCL in 2009 and is a leading figure in the tourism sector, with extensive experience gained in previous roles at leading organizations such as Viajes Marsans and Alitalia Compagnia Aerea Italiana SpA. Since joining the company, she has built a solid reputation for driving sustained growth and developing new business opportunities in Spain and Portugal. Under her leadership, NCL has significantly strengthened its presence in the Iberian Peninsula, increasing its market share and helping to transform consumer booking habits. Among other achievements, she has reduced the company’s reliance on last-minute bookings for departures from Barcelona and driven demand among Spanish travelers toward a greater variety of itineraries, including the Greek Islands, Northern Europe, and the Caribbean. This success has been made possible through strategic alliances and a consistent, collaborative approach with the distribution channel and its partners.
