Explora Journeys has opened bookings for its Summer 2028 travel collection, a key season marked by the arrival of EXPLORA VI. Its debut, scheduled for August 2028, will officially complete the company's fleet of six ships, fulfilling the brand's original vision within the timeframe established since its inception. With 178 destinations in 27 countries, this new collection represents a significant expansion of the brand's global presence and will be the first time all six ships will sail the world's oceans simultaneously.
The new collection blends the timeless charm of the Mediterranean with the wildest and most spectacular landscapes of Northern Europe, Iceland, and Greenland. From the pristine wilderness of Alaska to the historic shipping lanes of North America's East Coast during the autumn season, each itinerary has been designed with a philosophy of leisurely and mindful discovery in mind. Overnight stops in iconic cities like New York, Reykjavik, and Istanbul are combined with unique stops in more remote destinations, such as Korčula and the Faroe Islands. Furthermore, in many ports, the layovers will be extended, allowing travelers to experience the transformation of each destination from day to night, fostering a more authentic and profound connection with each place.

Summer 2028 Season Summary
- EXPLORE I: From April to October, the ship will travel to six countries and 25 destinations in the Mediterranean, sailing between the Aegean islands and the Adriatic coast. Guests can discover the Cyclades, the Dodecanese, and the Turkish coast, enjoying the vibrant nightlife of Mykonos with extended stays in port and the rich culture of Istanbul through overnight stops.
- EXPLORA II:The ship will sail the western Mediterranean, North Africa, and the French and Italian coasts, visiting 36 destinations between the Iberian Peninsula and the Atlantic from April to October. Itineraries will trace a route between the Balearic Islands and the landscapes of Madeira and will include overnight stays in Lisbon, as well as extended stops in eight ports, including Ibiza, Capri, and Casablanca.
- EXPLORA III:From May to September, the ship will return to the Alaskan wilderness, visiting 20 destinations across the United States and Canada. Itineraries will include scenic cruises through the Inside Passage and the Gulf of Alaska, offering prime views of the Hubbard Glacier, as well as stops in Juneau, Skagway, and small communities like Wrangell and Klawock.
- EXPLORA IV:Between May and October, the ship will sail through Northern Europe and the Baltic Sea, discovering 51 destinations in 15 countries. Guests can cycle along Amsterdam's historic canals or stroll through Stockholm's royal parks during overnight stops. In addition, 11 new ports of call, including Runavík in the Faroe Islands and Djúpivogur in Iceland, will bring travelers closer to some of the region's most remote and authentic corners.
- EXPLORE V:From May to September, the ship will explore the Baltic Sea, the Norwegian fjords, and the North Atlantic before reaching the volcanic coasts of Iceland and Greenland. The season will then continue along the east coast of North America to enjoy the changing colors of autumn, with overnight stays in New York and Quebec and extended stops in Halifax and Boston.
- EXPLORA VI:Between August and November 2028, the newest ship in the fleet will offer a more leisurely and sophisticated view of the Mediterranean through 13 itineraries. Its maiden voyage will depart from Rome to Barcelona, exploring Sicily, Sardinia, and the French Riviera. Later that autumn, the ship will venture into the Adriatic to discover historic ports such as Trogir and Dubrovnik, as well as the Bay of Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
To celebrate the launch of the Summer 2028, Explora Journeys will maintain its Early Booking benefits, an initiative that rewards those who plan their trips in advance with preferential rates and priority access to certain suites in the inaugural EXPLORA VI collection.
