Holland America Line presents the first collection of voyages from the Oosterdam after becoming the first ship to undergo the Holland America Evolution program, the largest investment in the fleet in the shipping company's 153-year history.
With eight itineraries and 15 departure dates, the new cruises will offer guests the first opportunity to discover the improvements incorporated on board the Oosterdam, combined with itineraries focused on destinations across Europe, the Caribbean and North America.
The return to service of the Oosterdam marks the beginning of Holland America Evolution, a multi-year modernization program designed to bring the best of the Pinnacle class to more ships in the fleet. Following its transformation, the Oosterdam will feature new stateroom and suite categories designed to suit today's guests' travel preferences, as well as expanded access to iconic company spaces.
For the first time, solo travelers will have access to specially designed Solo Verandah cabins, featuring a private balcony and workspace. These cabins will be located on decks 8 and 11 and will offer prime locations comparable to the best veranda categories.
Passengers seeking premium accommodations can also opt for the new Bridgeview Suites, with sweeping ocean views, panoramic windows and spacious living areas, in addition to the Vista Suites, which will debut for the first time on the Oosterdam.
Guests can also book the newly renovated Pinnacle Suite, featuring 15 square meters of elegant living space, panoramic views, and a private balcony. The suite includes a separate living room, guest toilet, bedroom, ensuite bathroom, and dressing room, creating a true residence by the sea.

As part of the Evolution program enhancements, the Oosterdam will also feature the Grand Dutch Café, one of Holland America Line's most popular spaces, previously exclusive to Pinnacle-class ships. Inspired by European café culture and the company's Dutch roots, this space will offer a welcoming atmosphere throughout the day, perfect for enjoying coffee, pastries, and small plates inspired by the relaxed pace of cafés in Amsterdam and Northern Europe.
Passengers on the Oosterdam will be able to enjoy the Grand Dutch Café while sailing through the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and the west coast of the United States.
After becoming the first ship to complete the Holland America Evolution program, the Oosterdam will operate a carefully curated series of cruises to different regions, designed to showcase its new onboard experience.
- The ship will return to service on December 2, 2027, with a seven-day Western Mediterranean itinerary departing from and returning to Barcelona, with stops in Valencia and Malaga, Spain; Lisbon, Portugal; and Tangier, Morocco, before embarking on a 13-day transatlantic crossing to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
- Guests can also book a 20-day Collectors' Voyage that combines both itineraries, offering more time to enjoy both the Mediterranean and the ship's new facilities.
- Subsequently, the Oosterdam will spend the 2027/2028 winter season in the Caribbean, offering nine- and 12-day itineraries focused on the Southern Caribbean and the ABC islands, plus a special 11-day cruise to celebrate the Christmas holidays on board.
These longer itineraries will allow passengers to fully enjoy the new accommodation categories while discovering tropical destinations accompanied by the premium experience created through the Evolution program.
- In spring 2028, the Oosterdam will transit the Panama Canal en route to the Pacific coast. The voyage will include stops in Central America and Mexico, followed by scenic cruising along the west coast of the United States before concluding in the Pacific Northwest.

12 Days – Panama Canal Discovery: Costa Rica & Greater Antilles
• Departure and return from Fort Lauderdale, with departures on January 2 and 23, February 13, and March 5 and 26, 2028.
• Stops in RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay; Oranjestad; Cartagena; Colón (Panama); Puerto Limón (Costa Rica) and Georgetown. Includes scenic navigation through the Panama Canal and Gatun Lake.
9 days – Southern Caribbean: ABC Islands
• Departure and return from Fort Lauderdale, with departures on January 14, February 4 and 25, and March 17, 2028.
• Stopovers in Kralendijk (Bonaire), Willemstad, Oranjestad, and RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay.
21 days – Panama Canal
• From Fort Lauderdale to Vancouver, departing April 7, 2028. A 15-day option between Fort Lauderdale and San Diego, California, is also available.
• Stopovers in Oranjestad; Puntarenas (Puerto Caldera), Costa Rica; Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala; Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; San Diego; Seattle, Washington; and Victoria, British Columbia.
6 days – Pacific Coastal Cruise
