The Riverside Mahler from Riverside Luxury Cruises returns to the Rhine and Danube rivers in 2028

Riverside Luxury Cruises will expand its fleet with the debut of the Riverside Mahler in 2028, marking the first time this vessel will sail under the Riverside brand. It is scheduled to join its sister ship, the Riverside Debussy, operating itineraries on the Rhine, Main, Moselle, and Danube rivers.

The Riverside Mahler from Riverside Luxury Cruises returns to the Rhine and Danube rivers in 2028In 2023, Riverside acquired a fleet of five riverboats from Crystal Cruises—Mozart, Debussy, Ravel, Mahler , and Bach—and has successfully introduced the first three into service along some of Europe's most iconic waterways. The addition of the Riverside Mahler represents the next phase of this strategic deployment.

“This is the next chapter for Riverside. The introduction of the Riverside Mahler gives us the opportunity to take everything we have built so far and apply it to the Rhine in new and creative ways: more access, more flexibility, and a fresh perspective on a river that many think they already know,” said Jennifer Halboth, CEO of Riverside Luxury Cruises.

“As the demand for truly luxurious river cruises continues to grow, this expansion allows us to reinforce our commitment to delivering an exceptional and highly personalized experience, while honoring the legacy of these extraordinary ships.”

The return of the Riverside Mahler underscores Riverside's long-term vision of carefully expanding its fleet while maintaining the highest standards of space, service, and sophistication that define the brand. The new ship also provides more opportunities to offer specialized themed cruises, including a new series of wine-focused itineraries.
