Azamara Cruises continues to roll out Azamara Forward, the most extensive fleet renewal program to date. As part of this initiative, the Azamara Onward will enter dry dock for two weeks in early November 2027 to incorporate these upgrades.
The program encompasses a comprehensive suite of onboard upgrades designed to elevate the guest experience while maintaining the intimate atmosphere characteristic of the company's smaller ships. Azamara Forward includes the transformation of the nightlife spaces, a new and exclusive Chef's Table experience, the renovation of the Discoveries restaurant, the debut of a redesigned Atlas Bar, a complete transformation of the Cabaret Lounge, upgrades to staterooms and suites, and improvements to the ship's public areas. It is worth noting that the new Penthouse Deck will be exclusive to the Azamara Questand is therefore not part of this renovation. Together, these enhancements represent a significant step in the evolution of the Azamara smaller-ship cruising experience.
The Azamara Onward will debut these new features on November 25, 2027, when it sets sail on an intensive 7-night cruise to Italy from Athens to Rome. This itinerary, available for booking from April 7, 2026, will be the ship's first voyage following its refurbishment and will allow passengers to discover the next stage of the premium Azamara experience. After returning to service, the ship will continue operating in the Mediterranean before crossing the Atlantic later in the season to begin Caribbean itineraries.
This dry dock comes after the debut of the Azamara Forward program on the Azamara Quest, while schedules for Azamara Journey and Azamara Pursuit will be announced soon.
Azamara Forward marks a new chapter for the company, with a focus on personalization, enhanced comfort, and an authentic connection to each destination. The program debuted with an inaugural voyage on December 18, 2026, featuring all-new suites on the Azamara Quest, along with immersive dining experiences and enhanced onboard services, setting a new standard for small-scale cruises.
