We're increasingly traveling off-season, seeking the best of summer, like great weather. But above all, we want to do it without hassle, without changing accommodations, and without packing and unpacking. That's why Canary Island cruises are so popular: they offer the allure of "endless summer" and the convenience of visiting several islands on a single trip. In this context, MSC Cruises is reinforcing its commitment to the region with greater capacity, a wider range of onboard dining and entertainment options, and a key new feature: the MSC Yacht Club, the exclusive "yacht within a ship" concept, arrives for the first time on Canary Island itineraries aboard MSC Fantasia, elevating the experience for those seeking added privacy, exclusive spaces, and personalized service.

“The Canary Islands are the perfect example of what today’s travelers value: climate, variety, and a way to discover the destination without the hassle of logistics,” explained Fernando Pacheco, Managing Director of MSC Cruises in Spain. “With MSC Cruises, the journey flows seamlessly, allowing passengers to focus on what truly matters. And this year, we’re taking it a step further: MSC Yacht Club makes its debut on our Canary Islands itineraries, bringing our most exclusive offering to the region.”
During the season, embarkation will take place from the port of Tenerife, from where the journey to the rest of the Canary Islands will begin. Furthermore, for those who prefer to combine sailing with extra time ashore, MSC Cruises, in line with its commitment to the region, offers service Fly& Cruise in Tenerife, allowing travelers to extend their trip with an extra night before embarking and immerse themselves more deeply in the charms of their home island.
Why Canary Island Cruises Are Trending:
It's no coincidence that Canary Island cruises are gaining popularity. When choosing the archipelago, Spaniards primarily cite its ideal year-round climate (49.53%). Furthermore, almost half highlight the convenience of visiting several islands without changing accommodations or carrying luggage (45.5%), and 28.97% appreciate being able to combine relaxation on board with active exploration on land.
Therefore, to bring travelers closer to this comfortable and exclusive way of discovering the region, in winter 2026-27, MSC Fantasia will sail through the Canary Islands and MSC Cruises will offer included flights from six Spanish cities to the port of embarkation.
In addition, MSC Fantasia passengers will visit, during their trip, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, La Palma and, outside the Canary archipelago but also a unique destination, Madeira.
MSC Yacht Club: All-inclusive exclusivity and improvements in the Fantasia class.
The search for exclusivity is a key factor in holiday decisions: 70% of Spaniards prioritize exclusivity in their holidays, and the idea of a "yacht within a ship", with personalized services and attention, is very attractive to 53.6%.
Guests who book MSC Yacht Club will enjoy an exclusive all-inclusive, with 24-hour butler and concierge service, spacious and elegant suites, and access to a private oasis of facilities including an exclusive restaurant, lounge, private terrace with jacuzzis and a restaurant and bar with grill, all perfectly integrated into the ship.
In addition, MSC Cruises recently announced the renovation of the MSC Yacht Club restaurant on all Fantasia-class ships , featuring a new, elegant, and contemporary design. The space incorporates a more refined and private aesthetic, maintains panoramic ocean views, and elevates the dining experience with sophisticated menus, a 24/7 culinary team , and a sommelier.
The refurbishment will be completed on MSC Fantasia in December 2026, just in time for its arrival in the Canary Islands on December 13.
