SeaDream Yacht Club celebrates its 25th anniversary

SeaDream Yacht Club begins its 25th anniversary celebration year in 2026, marking a quarter of a century since its founder, Atle Brynestad, introduced a new vision of life at sea: an experience inspired by the freedom and intimacy of the yachting world, rather than the traditional concept of cruising.SeaDream Yacht Club celebrates its 25th anniversary

Founded in 2001, SeaDream Yacht Club arose from Brynestad's conviction that luxury yacht travel could be more personal, more flexible, and more connected to the destinations visited.

From its inception, the brand has offered trips on small boats, designed to spend more time in less busy ports, combining refined cuisine with relaxed elegance and providing highly personalized service within an environment that feels intimate and exclusive.

“The principles my father established in 2001 continue to guide us today,” said Andreas Brynestad. “An intimate atmosphere, meticulous attention to detail, and deeply personal service—accompanied by exceptional cuisine—remain at the heart of the SeaDream experience.”.

For the past 25 years, SeaDream has quietly contributed to defining the modern concept of luxury yachting through consistent actions rather than grand pronouncements. Early milestones for the company include the complete refit of SeaDream I and SeaDream II in 2002, the introduction of overnight stays and increased time ashore, and the development of outdoor living spaces that blur the line between ship and sea.

Subsequently, the brand introduced the first vegetable menu on board a ship in the industry, the connection to electrical power in port for its entire fleet and innovative proposals such as the slide that connects the yacht with the sea, now become one of the distinctive elements of the SeaDream experience.

Throughout its history, SeaDream has consistently received recognition from prestigious publications such as Condé Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure, reflecting the enduring quality of its offerings rather than isolated achievements. These accolades also reflect the loyalty of its guests, many of whom return year after year to sail again with familiar crews and fellow travelers.

As it begins its 25th anniversary, SeaDream is looking to the future. Highlights planned for 2026 include initiatives that will reflect the brand's enduring commitment to intimate yacht-style itineraries, the carefully curated evolution of the onboard experience, and voyages designed around time, access, and connection to destinations, including specially crafted moments to celebrate the company's history.

“Our anniversary isn’t about looking back,” Brynestad added. “It’s about reaffirming who we are and continuing to evolve thoughtfully. The essence of SeaDream has always been consistency in the experience, delivered discreetly and purposefully.”.
